1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including:
- Account information: name, email address
- Profile data: height, weight, fitness goals
- Workout data: exercise history, sets, reps, weights, timestamps
- Device information: device model, OS version (for bug reports only)
2. Apple Health (HealthKit) Data
- With your explicit permission, we read and write workout data from/to Apple Health.
- HealthKit data is used exclusively to display your fitness progress and sync completed workouts.
- HealthKit data is NEVER shared with third parties, used for advertising, sold to data brokers, or stored on external servers beyond what is necessary for the core App functionality.
- HealthKit data access can be revoked at any time from your device Settings > Privacy > Health.
3. AI-Processed Data
- Workout data and profile information may be processed by AI services (Google Gemini) to generate personalized recommendations.
- No personally identifiable information is sent to AI services — only anonymized fitness metrics.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve our fitness tracking services
- Generate personalized workout plans and coaching
- Send transactional notifications (e.g., workout reminders)
- We do NOT use your data for targeted advertising
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls and audit logging.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With Firebase/Google Cloud for hosting (Data Processing Agreement in place)
- When required by law or legal process
7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- You can export all your data (CSV/JSON) from App Settings.
- You can delete your account and all associated data permanently from App Settings.
- Upon account deletion, data is removed within 30 days from all systems including backups.
8. Children's Privacy
Sportify is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: access, correct, export, and delete your personal data at any time through the App settings.
